Aba South at a Crossroads: The Call for a New Direction in 2027

The situation in Aba South State Constituency has continued to generate concern among residents who believe that the quality of representation they have received over the years has not matched their expectations. According to many Ndi Aba South, some previous representatives appeared more focused on occupying seats in the hallowed chamber, making speeches and speaking polished English than on delivering tangible benefits to the people. They argue that effective representation should go beyond rhetoric and include the ability to lobby, engage relevant authorities and attract meaningful government interventions to the constituency.

Despite the enormous potential of Aba South, concerns remain over the limited visibility of constituency projects and opportunities in key areas. Residents have continued to demand stronger interventions in road infrastructure, healthcare, employment, skills acquisition, youth empowerment and other areas capable of improving the living conditions of the people. For many Ndi Aba South, the time has come for representation to be measured not only by speeches made in the legislative chamber but also by concrete projects, opportunities and programmes that directly impact communities.

Ndi Aba South should not be expected to forget the history of the constituency or allow political arguments to erase the realities they have experienced over the years. The people remember the condition of their roads, communities and public infrastructure, and they are equally capable of assessing whether sufficient interventions have been attracted to the constituency. Whatever political preference anyone may have, the performance of a representative should ultimately be judged by visible achievements, verifiable records and the positive impact those achievements have on the people.

As the 2027 general elections approach, the growing call among some constituents is for a fresh direction and a new approach to representation. The campaign for Hon. Chinedu Akpolonu Kachocho is being presented by his supporters as an opportunity to bring renewed energy, stronger advocacy and result-oriented representation to Aba South State Constituency. Their argument is that Aba South deserves a representative who will actively pursue projects, opportunities and interventions capable of taking the constituency forward.

The message from the supporters of the Kachocho movement is therefore centered on change, effective representation and a new beginning for Aba South. They believe that the 2027 election provides Ndi Aba South with an opportunity to make a decisive choice about the kind of representation they want for the future.

Their call is for the people to support a representative who, in their view, can take Aba South to greater heights through purposeful engagement and dedicated service.

You know it, I know it, we all know it too—Aba South deserves a change in 2027.
