Aba South L.G.A Club 17 Peace Initiative
Hon. Onyeama Augustine Ifeanyi, the Aba South Coordinator of the Club 17 Peace Initiative, alongside the entire membership of the group, has formally adopted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 general elections.
The adoption, which took place yesterday, reflects the group’s confidence in the President’s leadership and its belief in the continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda for national growth and stability.
Speaking on the decision, Augustine highlighted the wide-ranging impact of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across critical sectors of the economy. He noted significant interventions in agriculture, education, the green economy, oil and gas, infrastructure, sports development, and the students’ loan scheme, as well as the strengthening of local government autonomy. He also commended the provision of electric, fare-free buses to states, aimed at easing transportation challenges arising from the removal of petrol subsidy.
Augustine further showered praises on President Tinubu for his inclusive leadership, particularly in the area of federal appointments, applauding the consideration given to sons and daughters of the South-East region. He described these appointments as a clear demonstration of national unity and fairness, fostering a sense of belonging among all regions of the country.
In the same vein, Augustine expressed deep appreciation to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, PhD, LL.D, CFR, the initiator of the South-East Development Commission and Principal of the Club 17 Peace Initiative. He lauded the Deputy Speaker’s giant strides in promoting peace in the South-East, his commitment to enduring projects in Bende Federal Constituency, and his relentless efforts in the ongoing constitutional review process aimed at building a more inclusive and united Nigeria.
Augustine concluded by praying for God’s continued blessings, wisdom, and good health upon President Tinubu and the Deputy Speaker as they steer the nation towards greater heights.
