Alleged Plot by Labour Party to Burn Down Bende Collation Centre: APC Raises Alarm
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has uncovered an alleged plot by the Labour Party to disrupt the collation of election results in Bende, particularly the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
According to credible intelligence, the Labour Party, sensing that it has already lost the election due to its lack of popularity and rejection by the voters, has resorted to writing a fake petition to the INEC National Headquarters, falsely alleging that the petition emanated from the APC. The petition reportedly requests that the Bende Collation Centre be relocated to Umuahia, citing alleged plans to burn down the Bende Local Government Council, which has hosted the INEC Collation Centre for decades, the petition also requested that where the initial request is not possible that the collation centre be moved to an open central school in Bende town.
While we are fully aware of all the plans by the ruling Labour Party in Abia State and its efforts at trying to compromise election management agencies in order to rig the elections in its favour we call on INEC to disregard such a request and treat it as fake and unfounded, we call on the security agencies, the Directorate of State Security, the National Security Adviser, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State, and the Inspector General of Police to take note of these sinister plots by the losing Labour Party in the state, and apply the necessary security measures to protect the votes the great people of Bende will give to the APC in the coming elections.
We are also calling the attention of the security agencies, the commisioner of police Abia state command to investigate the origin of such a fake and unfounded false alarm and take steps to secure public facilities, especially the INEC Collation Centre in Bende.
We are further calling on the Inspector General of Police to call the Labour Party to order and caution it against alleged attempt to cause confusion and crisis in Bende during the election.
The APC is sufficiently prepared to protect the mandate and the massive votes the people of Bende have promised to give the party and will not tolerate any attempt by the Labour Party to compromise the outcome of the election, create crisis in Bende, or cause trouble anywhere across the state in their attempt to distort the outcome of the coming election.
We will not fold our hands and watch the Labour Party create fear and panic in the minds of our esteemed supporters, we are also not unmindful of their evil motive and attempts to create panic, harass and intimidate voters, or cause crisis in an attempt to steal the peoples mandate during the election.

The Labour Party should be advised to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and get ready to accept their impending defeat and also live with the reality that Abians have rejected them and embraced the APC and are willing to support and give us their mandate come 2027.
