New Leadership Structure Targets Stronger APC Presence Across Aba
Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State, witnessed a major political gathering as APC chieftain and member representing Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr., Esq., inaugurated the Aba North and Aba South chapters of the Abia South Mass Movement for Tinubu 2027 (AMM Tinubu 2027). The event brought together party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and other political enthusiasts as the movement formally established its presence in the two local government areas.
During the inauguration, local government executives and ward coordinators were unveiled and charged with the responsibility of strengthening the movement at the grassroots. The initiative, powered by Erondu through the Igodo Igwe Foundation, is designed to expand the APC's organisational structure across communities, wards and polling units within the Abia South Senatorial District, while mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Erondu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking through the Director-General of the Erondu4Senate Organisation, Elder Obioma Godwin Nna, Erondu described the inauguration as an important milestone in the effort to establish a strong and functional political network throughout Aba. He urged the newly appointed coordinators and leaders to view their positions as responsibilities rather than privileges, emphasizing the need for discipline, unity, commitment and continuous interaction with the people. He further stressed that taking the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration to the grassroots would require consistent engagement and effective mobilisation.

Erondu, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Service Matters, called on party members and supporters to remain peaceful and united as they work towards strengthening the APC across Abia South. He expressed optimism that the mandate given to him and Hon. Chris Nkwonta, representing the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency, during the APC Abia South direct primaries would ultimately be restored through the courts. He maintained that the movement would remain focused on building a stronger political structure capable of connecting effectively with voters at the community and polling-unit levels.
As part of the inauguration, Uba Omenazu was appointed Coordinator for Aba North Local Government Area, while Hope Ogbonna was named Coordinator for Aba South. Both coordinators expressed appreciation to Erondu and the leadership of the movement for the confidence placed in them. They pledged to work diligently toward establishing strong grassroots structures and mobilising support for President Tinubu, Erondu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections. Former federal lawmaker and former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emeka Stanley, also reminded the new appointees that their positions came with significant responsibilities, urging them to remain accessible and connected to the people.
Other political leaders and stakeholders, including APC candidates for Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uzor Azubuike, former two times member and Minority Leader of Abia House of Assembly Hon. Abraham U. Oba, former Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief Don Ubani, and former APC Zonal Chairman, Hon. Monday Chikezirim Orji, described the inauguration as a strategic move toward expanding the party's grassroots influence in Abia South.

They emphasised the importance of unity, discipline and sustained engagement in achieving political success. With the inauguration of the Aba North and Aba South chapters, the Abia South Mass Movement for Tinubu 2027 is expected to intensify its mobilisation activities as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
The movement is powered by Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr., Esq., through the Igodo Igwe Foundation.
