DEPUTY SPEAKER'S SUPPORTERS URGE OPPONENTS TO APPRECIATE ACHIEVEMENTS AND ALLOW DEMOCRATIC PROCESS
Supporters of the Deputy Speaker have called on his political opponents and antagonists to acknowledge and appreciate the achievements recorded so far rather than resorting to unnecessary attacks, distractions and political hostility. They maintained that leadership should be assessed based on its contributions and tangible accomplishments, not sentiments or personal interests.
They further urged those expressing opposition to exercise patience and allow the electoral process to take its natural course. According to them, democracy thrives on healthy competition, mutual respect and the people's freedom to make their choices without intimidation, unnecessary controversy or attempts to create political tension.
The supporters stressed that they remain unshaken by criticisms, political calculations and distractions from those who may be uncomfortable with the Deputy Speaker's growing political influence. They insisted that no amount of opposition or antagonism would derail their confidence, adding that the ultimate decision rests with the electorate.
Reaffirming their confidence, they declared: "Odighi Mgbé, IKE EKWENSU GA AKARI IKE CHUKWU" — a popular expression conveying that no force can be greater than the power of God. They urged all parties to embrace peace, appreciate what has been achieved, respect the democratic process and allow the people to decide the outcome of the election.
