EMEKA ATUMA: TRACK RECORD SPEAKS LOUDER THAN EMPTY NOISE

Hon. Emeka Atuma represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007.

Today, he is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Abia Central Senatorial District.

His campaign and consultations across Abia Central have sent shockwaves and jitters down the spines of his opponents. Why? Because he is a man of unimpeachable character. What is more, he has an intimidating network of political structures and longstanding friends across Osisioma Ngwa, Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South, Umuahia North, Umuahia South, and Ikwuano, the six LGAs that make up Abia Central Senatorial District.

However, the greatest advantage Atuma has is his track record. What he has achieved in the past 20 years is a pointer to the fact that he knows his onions and will not disappoint the people of Abia Central when he gets to the Senate.

His track record is impeccable, and in terms of past performance, he is light-years ahead of his opponents.

The purpose of this treatise is very simple: to capture a few of his past achievements so that people can be better informed when making their assessments.

Below are some of the achievements of Hon. Emeka Atuma during his tenure in the House of Representatives (2003–2007).

13. Twenty-two motorised boreholes scattered all over the constituency.

14. Hon. Emeka Atuma was the first representative in Abia State in the Fourth Republic to hold an empowerment programme. He distributed over 100 motorcycles, cars, generators, start-up packs, etc. Orji Uzor Kalu, who was the Governor of Abia State at that time, was there to witness it.

Remember, he spent just four years in the Federal House of Representatives.

Even after his four-year stint at the National Assembly, he has not stopped representing his people. He has not stopped attracting projects to his constituency.

Here are some of the projects he has attracted to his constituency AFTER he left office, that is, from 2007 till date.

1. Road from Isi Court in Umuahia South to Olori Junction in Ikwuano.

2. Road from Nnono Junction to Nnono community, linking Oboro Secondary School, complete with streetlights.

3. Twelve-kilometre road from Ndioru Junction to Ntalakwu, complete with streetlights.

4. Rebuilding of Ntalakwu Community School (six classroom blocks, fully furnished).

5. Road from Ikwueke Junction to Ogbuebule, with extensive work on erosion sites.

Remember that this second list of projects was completed after he left office.

The list of projects is very long, but let me stop here for now.

Track record speaks louder than noise.

Results are the end of arguments.

Hon. Emeka Atuma is my candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District. I have listed a few of his achievements in and out of office.

If you are proud of your own candidate, show us their track record and achievements. Don't distract us with long grammar and unnecessary insults.

Furnish us with tangible evidence of past achievements.

Let the people of Abia Central make their choice.
