President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has strongly criticized Israel, accusing it of receiving shipments of Ukrainian grain allegedly taken from territories occupied by Russia.
In a statement posted on social media on Tuesday, Zelenskyy claimed that another vessel carrying what he described as “stolen” grain had arrived at a port in Israel and was preparing to unload its cargo.
He argued that Israeli authorities could not be unaware of the origin of the shipments, insisting that port officials are fully aware of the vessels arriving and the goods they transport.
Zelenskyy further alleged that the grain in question was taken from Ukrainian agricultural regions currently under Russian occupation, describing the situation as part of ongoing wartime exploitation.
He did not provide additional details about the specific vessel involved but maintained that Ukraine considers such shipments to be illegally sourced and unacceptable.
The remarks add to growing diplomatic tensions linked to global grain distribution amid the ongoing conflict involving Ukraine and Russia.
