Femi Gbajabiamila’s Annual Mega Empowerment Reaches Surulere Grassroots
The annual Mega Empowerment Programme facilitated by Femi Gbajabiamila has once again brought significant support to residents and grassroots communities in Surulere. The initiative, held today, featured a wide range of empowerment items and financial assistance aimed at supporting individuals, families, entrepreneurs and small-scale businesses.
As part of the programme, 50 electric vehicles were distributed to beneficiaries, providing recipients with opportunities for mobility and economic activity. The empowerment package also included cash grants designed to reach people across different categories, with ₦250,000 presented to 2,000 beneficiaries, ₦500,000 to 500 beneficiaries, and ₦1 million to 100 beneficiaries.
Beyond the financial support, the programme also provided practical resources intended to help beneficiaries improve their livelihoods. These included 100 laptops, 100 tricycles and 100 Korope vehicles, alongside several other empowerment items presented during the event.
The initiative reflects an approach that combines direct financial assistance with tools and assets that can potentially support entrepreneurship, transportation, digital work and other income-generating activities. By reaching a broad cross-section of residents, the programme places emphasis on grassroots participation and economic empowerment.
For many beneficiaries, the support represents an opportunity to strengthen existing businesses, begin new ventures or gain access to resources that may otherwise be difficult to obtain. The scale and variety of the items distributed have also drawn attention across Surulere, particularly among residents who participated in the programme.
With this year’s edition bringing together cash grants, vehicles, technology equipment and other gifts, the annual empowerment programme continues to be a major grassroots intervention associated with Femi Gbajabiamila in Surulere.
