With deep sorrow in my heart, yet profound gratitude to God, I honour the life and legacy of my spiritual father, mentor, and a true General in God’s army, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, whose transition marks his glorious homecoming to eternal rest.
Daddy, you were not just a preacher—you were a rare gift to this generation, a man chosen and anointed by God to impact lives and raise destinies. Your life spoke louder than your words, reflecting steadfast faith, humility, and total dedication to the work of God. Through your ministry, many found hope, healing, and direction, and countless souls were drawn into the Kingdom.
In this moment of farewell, we are reminded that while we grieve your absence, we also celebrate a life of purpose, sacrifice, and undeniable impact. Yours was a life poured out in service to God and humanity—a life that will continue to speak for generations to come.
I remain deeply grateful for your fatherly role in my life—your guidance, your corrections, your encouragement, and your unwavering belief in me. You were a mentor who built men, shaped destinies, and inspired greatness through godly principles. The values you instilled in us will remain a compass for our journey.
You taught us that true service to God is expressed through love, humility, and obedience. You showed us that leadership in the Kingdom is not about position, but about impact and sacrifice. Even in authority, you remained compassionate, approachable, and deeply committed to lifting others.
Though your physical presence will be greatly missed, we take comfort in the assurance that you have finished your assignment and entered into the joy of the Lord. Heaven has received a faithful servant, and your legacy continues to live on in the lives you touched.
On behalf of myself, my family, and all who have been blessed through your influence, I say thank you for a life well spent in God’s service. Your memory will forever remain a source of inspiration and strength.

Rest peacefully, great servant of God. Your work is done, your crown is sure, and your legacy endures.
Farewell, Daddy.
