Just In: ABIA APC TO EMEMANKA: Winning trust of a betrayer is a very difficult task
Thank you the red-capped Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, the great “Ururuaja” for the jab thrown at APC in the guise of a congratulatory message. Watching the video clip of Daniel Bwala on Aljazeera made me understand the very difficult situation you found yourself in by going back to a man you so much ridiculed, not even on points of logic but went so low to dehumanise. I am sure, Otti recruited you more out of mockery than competence.
Away from your usual mischief and too much struggle these days to impress a man you so much ridiculed while he was contesting to be Abia Governor, your unprovoked “congratulatory message” to Hon. Chijioke Chukwu seems friendly on the surface, but the condescending undertone and faulty assumptions about the political reality in Abia State cannot go unchallenged.
Strategic communications shouldn’t be looking for unnecessary fights. One would have thought, you ought to have learnt from your previous mistakes of turning cameras to yourself which left your former boss in very battered public perception not notwithstanding his myriad of achievements.
First, the repeated attempt in your supposed congratulatory message to reduce the APC to a permanent “opposition party” in Abia is nothing more than political wishful thinking. Remember you once predicted that Otti will never be governor of Abia State in this life, today he is the Governor and you are back to struggle for the lead role in the orchestra of praise singers’ symphony. You know how to scheme your ways through and before long, if not checked, the Ferdinands in the team may well become your personal aides.

You are at it again, with your self-comforting delusion that APC is destined to remain in opposition for the next eight years, just like you concluded about otti ever winning the governorship.
Hon. Chijioke Chukwu cannot be your friend as you claimed, yet you turned around to describe his emergence as the Chairman of Abian APC to be leader of the opposition to Chairman of the opposition. Sincerely, you are the last person to attempt ridiculing a man who has stood by his convictions through thick and thin. He has been resilient, tenacious and faithful to his political ideals in APC. Chukwu isn’t controlled by his stomach needs but by his integrity.
If Otti fails to win his reelection, he knows you will be among the first to ditch him to become a member of another choir of praise singers for whoever that won. After all, he hasn’t given you anything near what you got from your former boss, yet you dropped him without blinking an eye.
Your sarcastic prayer is an abomination to God because of what the Bible says about prayers of the unrighteous. If God didn’t answer you when you prayed that Otti will never become Abia Governor, what made you think this particular wishful thinking of spending 2 full tenures as opposition chairman will be answered?
Moreso, your thin veiled attempt to mock and diminish the momentum APC is gathering in Abia is just like a repeat of your history with your former boss. While the opposition then led by Otti was preparing and getting close confidents of your former boss to their side, you were busy pontificating and cracking jokes of “Akpu with mmiri nri” on social media.
The truth is that Abia APC is growing, its structure is expanding, and its leadership is becoming more organised. Those who believe the party will remain permanently in opposition may soon have to revisit that assumption.

So while your congratulation to Hon. Chijioke Chukwu is welcome, the dismissive narrative that APC must remain in opposition is both premature and politically naive. Abia APC is closer to Abia government house than most of you new converts would ever imagined.
Timmy Johnson Chinedu,
SA to Abia APC Chairman,
Hon Chijioke Chukwu,
