Just In: Benjamin Kalu Meets Richard Montgomery, Emphasises Diplomatic Ties for National Progress

Strengthening Diplomatic Engagement for National Progress

This afternoon, I had a productive engagement with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, at my office in Abuja. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on key national and international matters.

Our conversation centered on recent political developments in Nigeria, alongside our ongoing efforts in the Constitutional Review Process. We also explored other areas of shared interest, reflecting the importance of sustained collaboration between both nations.

As Nigeria continues to navigate its path forward, maintaining open and meaningful dialogue with global partners remains essential. Constructive diplomacy goes beyond formal foreign relations—it serves as a vital link connecting shared goals with collective advancement.

I remain dedicated to fostering partnerships that promote the overall well-being of our country and its citizens. Nation-building does not stop at our borders, and every engagement that reinforces international cooperation contributes positively to our progress on the global stage.
