Deputy Speaker Ben Kalu Commends Otti Over Approval of C-of-O for Two Federal Tertiary Institutions in Bende
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has commended Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, for approving the Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O) for the Federal College of Education, Bende, and the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Item. He described the approval as a significant milestone that will accelerate the establishment of the two federal institutions in the constituency.
Kalu noted that the governor's decision demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing education and expanding development opportunities in Abia State. He said the approval would pave the way for the smooth implementation of the projects, which are expected to enhance access to quality tertiary education, improve healthcare training, and stimulate socio-economic growth across Bende and neighbouring communities.
The Deputy Speaker also emphasized that the institutions would create employment opportunities, attract investments, and boost commercial activities within the area.
