Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu Commission More Projects

Yesterday in Ugwueke, I commissioned the 3-kilometre Ugwueke–Alayi–Akaeze Road, a critical link connecting Ugwueke community in Abia State to Akaeze in Ebonyi State. This road is being constructed for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the history of these communities.

For decades, the Ugwueke Ezeukwu community endured difficult travel conditions that hindered movement, trade, and social interaction. Today, that narrative has changed.

With this road will commissioned for use, connectivity amongst communities and states will be improved, economic activities stimulated, transportation eased, and inter-state relations between Abia and Ebonyi States strengthened.

Constituency projects must reflect the core needs of the people and our commitment remains to the people whose mandate we have the responsibility to uphold. I am glad to have once again fulfilled this promise to the good people of Ugwueke.
