The Kaduna State Police Command has rolled out extensive security arrangements across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, assuring residents of a safe and peaceful festive period.
In a press statement on Wednesday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, said tactical commanders, intelligence operatives, and other personnel have been deployed to strategic locations, including Eid prayer grounds, markets, recreational centres, and major highways.
The move, according to the police, is aimed at preventing any security breaches before, during, and after the celebrations.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, said the Command is committed to ensuring a hitch-free celebration and urged residents to cooperate with security agencies.
As part of its safety advisory, the police reiterated a strict ban on the use of knockouts, fireworks, and other explosive materials during the festivities.
Parents and guardians were specifically warned to discourage their children and wards from engaging in such activities, noting that violators would be arrested and prosecuted.
