APC senatorial candidate for Abia Central, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has hosted key party candidates and stakeholders in a strategic meeting, pledging to unite the party and work tirelessly to secure victory for all APC candidates, including the party’s governorship candidate, in the 2027 elections.
The DSS has ordered an investigation into former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s allegation that the agency was recruiting protesters to disrupt political activities in Sokoto State. The Service described the claims as inconsistent with its operations but said its Director-General had directed a probe into the matter.
The EFCC has linked illegal mining and mineral theft to insecurity and organised crime in Nigeria, warning that it will intensify efforts to identify and prosecute financiers, mineral buyers, compromised public officials and other beneficiaries behind the illicit operations.
