Nigeria, Cuba Deepen Bilateral Cooperation — Rep. Benjamin Okezie Kalu

Today, I was delighted to receive the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Miriam Morales Palmero, alongside the Deputy Ambassador, Amb. Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot, on a courtesy visit to the House of Representatives

Our discussion focused on expanding cooperation in healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, education, trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange, with emphasis on activating the Nigeria–Cuba Friendship Group in the National Assembly.

The House of Representatives is committed to exploring different avenues of collaboration that will leverage Nigeria’s vast market, youthful population, and strategic position in Africa, while drawing from Cuba’s remarkable expertise in healthcare delivery, biotechnology, education, and sustainable development.
