Umuebeke Residents Seek Urgent Intervention as Road Condition Worsens

Residents of Umuebeke Community have made a passionate appeal to their illustrious son Hon. Chinedum Akpulonu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Aba South State Constituency, to urgently respond to the worsening condition of the Umuebeke Road. The road, which provides a vital connection to Nnentu in Aba South Local Government Area, has deteriorated significantly, making daily movement increasingly difficult for commuters and residents.

According to members of the community, the poor state of the road has disrupted commercial activities, hindered access to essential services, and subjected motorists and pedestrians to untold hardship. They described the situation as one that requires immediate attention, stressing that the road has become almost impassable in several sections.

The residents expressed disappointment that previous appeals to the appropriate government authorities have not produced the desired response. Feeling abandoned, they said their repeated cries for assistance have gone unanswered, prompting them to seek the intervention of Hon. Chinedum Akpulonu, popularly known as "KACHOCHO." They expressed confidence that he would atleast listen to their concerns and suggest a lasting solution to the problem.

Beyond the transportation challenges, the community lamented the health risks associated with heaps of debris dumped along the road. They explained that dust, blocked drainage channels, and the resulting environmental pollution have contributed to frequent illnesses among residents while creating an unhealthy environment for families and businesses operating in the area.

The people of Umuebeke therefore appealed for urgent action to address the deplorable condition of the road and remove the accumulated debris. They believe that restoring the road to a motorable condition would not only improve transportation but also enhance public health, revive economic activities, and bring much-needed relief to the entire community.
