Just In: Unity, Trust, and Progress: APC Abia Congress Marks a New Era of Peaceful and Inclusive Leadership - Rep. Benjamin Okezie Kalu
After a successful ward and local government congress of our great party in Abia State, I can boldly say this is the APC our members have always desired.
It was gratifying to see the smiles from the faces of members who participated in the peaceful and rancour free congresses for the first time in over a decade.
What we witnessed across the State was not just a congress, but a demonstration of maturity, trust, and genuine consultation. From the wards to the local governments, our people conducted themselves peacefully, proving that when everyone is given a sense of belonging, unity comes naturally.
In Umuahia, while appreciating stakeholders and leaders of the party, I made it clear that this process was about returning the party to the people. No imposition. No unnecessary interference. I stayed back in my ward and local government because I trust our leaders across the State to choose those who will represent them well.
That trust has strengthened our bond and eliminated divisions. There are no factions in Abia APC. We are one big family.
I sincerely appreciate the Congress Committee, our national and state leaders, stakeholders, and every committed party member who made this possible.

Your discipline and cooperation have set a strong foundation as we move toward the State Congress and prepare for 2027.
The momentum is building and together we will keep moving forward.
