Those who spend their days insulting “Big Ben” online must understand that true greatness is not measured by social media noise or empty criticism. Benjamin Okezie Kalu continues to distinguish himself through intellect, service, and purposeful leadership that transcends distractions.
A closer look at the two remarkable books released on his 55th birthday reveals a man deeply committed to nation-building and humanity. Peace Beyond Battles, a powerful 363-page work, reflects his passion for peacebuilding, post-conflict healing, and inclusive development, while Sacrifice of Service unveils the hidden burdens, discipline, and selflessness required in genuine public service beyond the glamour of office.
Real men do not waste valuable energy responding to every cheap attack thrown at them. Instead, they allow their achievements, character, and impact to speak on their behalf. Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, PhD, CFR, continues to soar higher through wisdom, humility, and purposeful leadership, while critics remain stuck in bitterness and envy. Better still, rather than attacking grace, people should learn from it.
As a trained lawyer with an open-door policy and no grudges against anyone, Big Ben remains a leader who believes in lifting others regardless of differences. Those willing to tap into his unconditional grace, knowledge, and mentorship may yet rise beyond their present stage and become better versions of themselves.
