Just In: Youth Empowerment and Strategic Partnership for 2027 Gains Momentum - Rep. Benjamin Okezie Kalu
Earlier today, I had the pleasure of receiving my brothers from the Abia State Chapter of the City Boys Movement, led by the State Director, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, on a courtesy visit to my office in Abuja.
In my remarks, I highlighted the deliberate efforts of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to engage and empower the youth demographic in our nation. Beyond the movement’s mandate, the President has demonstrated a clear commitment to raising a new generation of leaders. This is evident in the appointment of some of the nation’s brightest young minds, who are already making meaningful contributions in service.
In this regard, I charged the youths to rise to the occasion. Leadership is not entrusted to spectators, but to those who are prepared and willing to step forward. The City Boys Movement goes beyond politics; it is a strategic platform for identifying and grooming capable young Nigerians who will take on leadership roles.
I also commended my brother and friend, the son of the President, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, whose passion for leadership inspired the establishment of this inclusive movement.
Furthermore, I acknowledged the efforts made through platforms such as Renewed Hope Partners in mobilizing support for our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), across the state. Building on this momentum, we will strengthen our partnership with the City Boys Movement to ensure that our collective goals for 2027 are realized.

I assured the delegation of my full support as we work towards positioning the Abia State Chapter of the movement as one of the most impactful in the South East.
