‎The statement advised suitably qualified candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and wish to gain admission into FUTIA to visit the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and change their course of choice to one of the approved programmes.

‎It added: “Candidates who did not choose FUTIA as their first-choice university but scored a minimum of 160 can also apply, provided they visit JAMB CAPS and change their first-choice institution to FUTIA.”

‎The 12 newly approved degree programmes are: B.Eng. Biomedical Engineering; B.Eng. Computer Engineering; B.Eng. Materials and Metallurgical Engineering; B.Eng. Mechatronics Engineering; B.Sc. Chemistry; B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry and B.Sc. Environmental Management Technology.

‎With the approval, FUTIA now has 36 NUC-approved programmes within four years after the University began its pioneer academic session in 2023/2024.

‎“The additional programmes reflect the commitment of the pioneer management team and Governing Council towards expanding access to education and strengthening research, teaching, manpower development and community service through innovative academic programmes,” the statement added.

‎Meanwhile, FUTIA has informed all prospective students that screening for newly admitted candidates was ongoing at the University premises.

Candidates who chose FUTIA as their first choice were advised to visit the JAMB portal to check their admission status.

‎Those offered admission are expected to accept the offer, print their JAMB admission letters, and proceed to the University for screening with their relevant documents.

For emphasis, the physical screening is scheduled for Monday, 12th to Friday, 23rd October 2026 at the Takeoff Campus of the University, Ikot Abasi by 8 am daily.
