ONYEAMA AUGUSTINE URGES YOUTHS TO EMBRACE SKILL ACQUISITION FOR SELF-RELIANCE AND A BRIGHTER FUTURE
Onyeama Augustine has called on young people to take skill acquisition seriously as a practical route to financial independence, personal growth, and a more secure future. A valuable skill can become a reliable source of income, whether through paid employment, freelance services, or establishing a business. Beyond financial benefits, possessing practical knowledge empowers youths to stand on their own, reduces dependence on others, and builds the confidence needed to face life's challenges. In today's competitive world, young people must understand that education and practical skills can complement each other to create greater opportunities for success.
Dear youths, the time to act is NOW! Do not allow unemployment, lack of opportunities, or the fear of starting small to discourage you from building your future. Identify a skill that matches your interests, seek proper training, learn from experienced people, and remain committed to improving yourself. Whether it is tailoring, catering, ICT, fashion design, electrical work, hairdressing, agriculture, or any other valuable trade, start somewhere and keep growing. A skill can help you establish a business, support your family, create employment for others, and open doors beyond your immediate environment. Remember, your future should not depend entirely on waiting for opportunities when you can develop the ability to create them.
LEARN A SKILL. BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE. CREATE YOUR OPPORTUNITY. BECOME SELF-RELIANT!
May your efforts yield fruitful results, and may no one labour in vain. Amen.
Happy new week!
