2027 Elections: Onyeama Augustine Advocates Issue-Based Politics
Hon. Onyeama Augustine from Aba Central State Constituency has urged politicians and other stakeholders preparing for the 2027 general elections to concentrate on presenting their visions and policy proposals rather than engaging in personal attacks and inflammatory remarks. He stated that a healthy democratic process is strengthened when candidates focus on discussing workable solutions, innovative ideas, and programmes that can improve the lives of citizens. He maintained that the electorate deserves campaigns centered on development and governance rather than hostility and mudslinging.

He emphasized that those seeking public office should demonstrate respect, responsibility, and political maturity throughout the campaign period. He also called on aspirants to foster unity, encourage constructive dialogue, and uphold democratic principles that will promote peace, stability, and national development.
