Eric Opah Continues Thank-You Tour, Declares APC United and Ready for Abia 2027 Governorship Race!!
*The 2027 Abia APC governorship candidate, Chief Eric Opah, on Wednesday, 29th, July, 2026 continued his appreciation tour of the 17 local government areas of the state with a visit to Isuikwuato LGA, where he thanked party members for their massive support during the party's governorship primary election.
*In his address to party stakeholders, Ward and Local government executives, Chief Opah said that the visit was to express his gratitude to the APC family in Isuikwuato LGA for standing with him during the governorship primary election and to formally inform them that his name had been successfully uploaded to the INEC portal as the party's governorship candidate.
*On those still in doubt about who is the authentic candidate of the 2027 Abia APC governorship, Chief Opah assured that the debate is over and calls on party members who supported other aspirants during the primary to close ranks and work together with the candidates for the party's success in 2027.
"For those still in doubt about who the authentic APC governorship candidate is, I am here to present myself to you and to invite everyone, including those who supported other candidates, to return to the fold so that together we can deliver a government that will not tax Abians into poverty,". he told party members.
*Chief Opah clarified that his visit to Isuikwuato LGA was part of his appreciation tour and not a political campaign, noting that the legal embargo on electioneering campaigns was still in force.
"We are a law-abiding party. We are not here to campaign because the embargo on campaigns has not been lifted. We are only here to appreciate those who supported us because gratitude attracts greater blessings. When it is time for campaigns, you will see how prepared and united we are." Chief Opah stressed.
*Outlining his vision for Abia, Chief Opah said his administration would prioritise unity, economic growth and improved welfare for workers.
"Our ticket is about peaceful coexistence, uniting Abians and ending the divisiveness of old and new Abia that continues to pitch brothers against one another", he assured.
*He also promised to build an inclusive economy that would accommodate both the rich and the struggling, the small businesses and the big businesses as well as both private and government owned enterprises.
*Chief Opah expressed confidence ahead of the 2027 governorship candidate, urging party members not to be discouraged by claims that the election had already been decided. He strongly maintained that there is vacancy in the Abia Government House and by the grace of God and the votes of Ndi Abia, APC will occupy it.
*He further declared that, if elected, his administration would restore peace, govern with integrity, fear of God, love for humanity and empathy for the struggling. Chief Opah assured that development in Abia under him will be real and commensurate with the resources available, not social media manipulation of under performance.
*Responding on behalf of party members, the host, retired Navy Captain Chris Osondu, alongside the APC candidate for Isuikwuato State Constituency, Hon. Chima Agbaeze, and the Abia APC State Organising Secretary, Hon. Emeka Okoroafor commended the party's growing strength since the 2023 general election.
*They expressed confidence that the APC was better positioned than ever before to win the Abia governorship election in 2027 and pledged their full support for Opah's aspiration, describing him as "a genuine leader with a human heart" who would govern with the fear of God, compassion for the people and policies aimed at improving the welfare of Abians.

*Other party stakeholders who accompanied Chief Opah on the visit included the Deputy governorship candidate, Dr. Godswill Agu Egbe, Director-General of the campaign, Chief Charles Ogbonna, Elder John Nwankporogwu, Hon.
