APC House of Representatives candidate assures residents of quality representation, expanded infrastructure, empowerment programmes, and sustained community development.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, Hon. Ikenna Nicolas Ukwa, has held an interactive meeting with the men, women, and youths of the Mgbaga community in Ebem Ohafia, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State. The engagement provided an opportunity for residents to present their concerns while discussing practical steps towards the community's continued growth and development.
During the meeting, Hon. Ukwa reaffirmed his dedication to the progress of Ebem Ohafia, describing himself as both a grandson and an in-law of the community. He assured the people that, if elected, he would leverage his experience, relationships, and access to attract meaningful projects in critical sectors, including education, healthcare, road infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, human capital development, and other essential social amenities aimed at improving the standard of living.
Emphasising his strong family ties to Ebem, Ukwa dismissed claims that he was an outsider, noting that his wife is from the community and that his great-grandfather also hailed from Ebem Ohafia. He stressed that the forthcoming election should not be viewed as a contest between communities but as an opportunity to elect the most capable individual to represent the constituency effectively. He assured the gathering that he possesses the necessary contacts in Abuja to facilitate development and pledged to work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
He further promised that the issues and requests raised by the community would be reflected in his legislative priorities if given the mandate to serve, adding that more development projects, empowerment programmes, and opportunities were on the horizon. Speaking on behalf of the community, Mr. Mba Ibe and other stakeholders commended Hon. Ukwa for his humanitarian interventions, including the installation of solar-powered street lights in Ebem and the donation of educational materials to local schools.

They praised him for remaining connected to his roots and executing impactful projects despite not holding public office, while pledging their full support for his 2027 House of Representatives ambition.
