Politics:
Political Reality Cannot Be Changed by Viral Videos
Writing - Aglow TV
The emergence of Chief Eric Opah as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State remains a settled matter within the party structure. Despite attempts by some individuals to create confusion through social media narratives and controversial video clips, the official position of the party has not changed. APC authorities have consistently maintained that Opah remains the duly recognized candidate and that reports suggesting otherwise are unfounded.
In every political season, opponents often deploy distractions aimed at diverting attention from the main issues. The circulation of a beer parlour video and similar materials may generate temporary discussions online, but such content does not possess the power to alter the outcome of a valid political process. Elections, nominations, and party decisions are determined through established procedures, not through social media debates or viral content.
Those hoping that public speculation will overturn the party's decision may be misunderstanding the realities of political organization. Chief Eric Opah's candidacy was produced through the APC's internal mechanisms, and party officials have repeatedly defended his eligibility and status. Claims of disqualification and related rumours have already been dismissed by the party as misinformation designed to mislead members and supporters.
As preparations for the 2027 elections continue, attention should remain focused on policies, leadership qualities, and the vision candidates present to the people of Abia State. Political contests are ultimately decided by voters and legitimate party processes, not by beer parlour conversations or viral videos.

Therefore, while critics may continue to raise objections, the fact remains that Chief Eric Opah is the APC candidate, and any attempt to suggest otherwise remains nothing more than political noise.
